FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT WINDOWS
January 15, 2009 -- Cappy’s Windows is a family owned and operated local company with a full product showroom located at 960 Wyoming Street in Allentown, PA. Cappy’s Windows has been serving the Lehigh Valley and surrounding area homeowners and business owners since 1945. A. Pete Treese is the company President and his son Andy Treese, is Project Manager.
President Pete Treese, I visit nearly every customer’s home to discuss their remodeling needs. I offer this advice to everyone who is thinking about buying new windows; “Comparing windows is often like comparing apples to oranges. To make sense of a company’s offerings, you’ve got to understand what the important and relevant issues are.”
1. What are the standard features in the window? Many companies charge more money for windows when they have ala-carte add-ons like Low E glass or argon gas fill. We charge one low flat rate, period. Our windows have no hidden costs and always include Low E and Argon gas. Our windows are ENERGY STAR and Tax Credit qualified.
2. Does “Installed” include insulation, sealing, exterior capping and removal of debris? These should be part of an “installed” window. These services are bundled in our standard window price so the price we quote you will be the price charged at the end of the job, no surprises!
3. Does the window include a full product warranty? Our windows have a Lifetime Limited Warranty on the product that even covers accidental glass breakage.
4. How much SHOULD you pay for a good window installed? The bottom line is that if you know how to compare apples to apples, you can get the best value possible. Windows don’t have to be expensive, especially if you are educated when you are ready to purchase them.

NEW CABERNET DESIGN
New Beveled Sash and Redesigned Master-Frame Offer Beauty and Energy Savings
February 1, 2005 -- Good looking, energy efficient and structurally sound -- these are the comments we hear most when the name "Cabernet" is mentioned.
In an age where most windows and doors have been homogenized into one generic mass, there are still some that stand out from the crowd; the newly redesigned Cabernet is one such window. While new products are important, redesigning a proven product like the Cabernet window is equally important.
What the new design features of Cabernet offer along with its competition, is its custom sizing and tilt-in feature. But that’s where the similarity ends. Its new Master-Frame and Beveled Sash with Gray/Gray design pay little resemblance to other windows. Its interior bevel sash is notably different from over-the-counter type windows. The Cabernet has been tested to a DP 55 by a certified third party to ensure its high performance design. With Low E argon-filled insulated glass Cabernet carries an Energy Star label. Enviro foam-filled sash and frame are also available options.
The Cabernet Elite is our highest performing window. It consists of triple glass, two panes of soft coat Low E, Krypton gas-filled insulated glass and Enviro foam-filled sash and frame. As you would expect, these unique options put the Cabernet window system at the top of the chart. The new Cabernet and Cabernet Elite successfully expand Cappy’s wide range of window choices and is now on display at our showroom at 960 Wyoming Street, Allentown, PA
You will enjoy Cabernet's good looks, energy efficiency and proven performance. The improved design will retain Cabernet's "Best Window System" reputation for years to come.
Cabernet windows with Low-E Glass and argon gas insulation, meet the Energy Star® guidelines for energy efficiency.
